Personal Mastery and Leadership is considered a critical anchor in building resilience towards all worthwhile transformational journeys.  In realising the benefits of this for entrepreneurs, at the beginning of March this year, 32-South African women in agribusiness embarked on their first cycle of the Women Creating Wealth (WCW) 16-Week Blended Learning  digitised programme starting with ‘Personal Mastery and Leadership’.

“It has been an immensely empowering two weeks and I can’t believe so much change can take place in one person’s mind in such a short space of time” – Michèle Scheiss, Mastery class participant.

The COVID-19 pandemic has seen the WCW programme shifting from a face-to-face training in 2018, to webinars based training in 2020, to now a 16-week blended learning digital offering. The programme uses the interactive GAIM methodology, which comprises goal setting, accountability, inspiration and mastery.

“ This experience was life changing and reminds you of the leader you are, I am happy to be part of the programme, it is quite a journey and its beautiful”- Livhuwani Mulaudzi, Mastery class participant.

The programme has continuously innovated in direct response to the WCW entrepreneurs’ needs and taking lessons from the best of the programme elements since its inception in 2016. The programme now has four core pillars, namely;

  • Personal Leadership and Entrepreneurship Mastery to build resilience and confidence for growth;
  • Peer & Master Coaching to strengthen and optimise opportunities for collaboration, deepen learning and strengthen commitment and accountability to performance;
  • Winning Markets, Gearing for Growth serves to address market access, building business systems for growth and
  • Know Find and Grow your Money to strengthen financial management and investor readiness.

With the WCW 16-Week digitised offering, it is anticipated that more women entrepreneurs across Africa will be reached. After the 16-Week programme, all alumnus will become part of the WCW Connect and Inspire regional networking platform and the WCW Marketplace Business Directory.

“It was eye opening, I have never had to look at myself the way I have now and I still don’t know what I have found but I am interrogating”- Tankiso Morule, Mastery class participant.

The Entrepreneurs will be going into their Cycle 2 , ‘Entrepreneurial Mastery and Demand for Growth’ soon. This initiative is funded by Virgin Unite, who have been our WCW sponsor and partner since 2016.Â
