In partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Trust undertook a successful advocacy and planning mission to Tanzania in January 2015. Strategic meetings were held with various state and civil society organisations (CSO’s), including the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs; the Ministry for Community, Development, Gender & Children; UNICEF Tanzania; UNFPA; University of Dar es Salaam; Twaweza; Children’s Dignity Forum; AMREF and Room to Read amongst others. A critical outcome of the mission was the identification of the Mara Region as a priority area where a series of interventions could be undertaken.

FORMER Mozambican and South African First Lady, Ms Graca Machel, is on Friday in the afternoon expected to visit two modern primary schools that have been built by Acacia Mining Plc in Mara Region.
The schools are Matare and Nyangoto which are located close to North Mara Gold Mine in the gold richdistrict of Tarime in Mara Region.
