There will likely be a peace on Women in Private Equity in the September edition. This may draw on insights from discussions at the Summit.

The East African

A weekly magazine by East Africa’s Nation Media Group. The publication looks at political and economic news in the region.

Whilst an article has been drafted for Nation Media’s magazine this is yet to be published. The journalist has confirmed that the story will, however, be published once she has access to photographs from the Summit

This Day Nigeria

This is one of the most widely read and influential business and political papers in the country. It has been in existence since 1995 and has a circulation of 100,000. Most articles available in the print publication are also available online, increasing readership potential.

  • Following interviews with Dr Donald Kaberuka and Mrs Graca Machel, This Day Nigeria has run separate pieces. This Day also ran a picture from the Summit although not accompanied by an article.
  • The first of this was an interview with Dr Kaberuka, Economic Transformation, Antidote to Poverty which looks at the backdrop of the Summit as well as provides some detail on what the African Development Bank is doing in terms of support access to finance for women. Kaberuka is quoted as having spoken positively about NFNV.   • In an article entitled Women Agenda for Entitlement published on 10 August 2014, Funke Olaode talks about the discussions held during the Graca Machel Trust’s Women in Media roundtable.   • Funke Olaode has indicated that she will be writing a piece about Mrs Graca Machel’s work in NFNV and GMT. This will likely be published over the next two weeks

Destiny Magazine

Destiny’s Twitter feed currently has 18,500 followers. The magazine itself has a circulation of over 23 237 and readership in excess of 262,000.

  • Coverage was mainly under the Destiny Twitter handle during the Summit as the Online Editor was tweeting throughout sessions. The tweets quoted moderators and panellists of the sessions.
  • Destiny has requested to interview Nomsa Daniels, Happy Ralinala and Albertinah Kekana off the back of the Summit. The interviews would be published in the “Powerhouse” section of the magazine.
  • There will also be a write up on the Summit on Destinyconnect.com
