Driving Social and Economic Transformation 10 – 12 August 2017, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
In August 2016, the Trust announced the launch of a Pan-African platform to showcase women’s contributions and leadership on issues around the economic and social progress of women in Africa. WAA is a one-of-a-kind forum to bring together prominent women in business, investors, along with women innovators, scientists, academics, political leaders, philanthropists, civil society and global thought leaders and shapers for focused discussions on a range of pertinent issues to promote the economic advancement of African women.
The Graça Machel Trust is announcing the upcoming inaugural Women Advancing Africa Forum (WAA) taking place in Dar es Salaam in August 2017.
An open call to all those committed to “Driving Social and Economic Transformation” on the continent to join us for this one of a kind Forum.

We recognise that this is an ambitious but vital agenda. We will not achieve it alone and will require resources and sponsorship as we move to make this effort sustainable.
We will require prospective sponsors and partners on this important initiative, for both monetary and in-kind contributions. More details on registration, programme and speakers to follow.
